Mrs. A’s Day Program is a Medically Supervised Day Treatment Program for substance abuse, licensed by NYSOASAS. Services are provided from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. and includes individual and group counseling, medical and mental health evaluation, educational/vocational counseling, HIV education, family group counseling, recreational/cultural activities and case management services. The program offers a flexible schedule of group and individual services designed to meet individual needs. The intensive portion of the program lasts from six to nine months and is followed by a three to six month program of aftercare counseling and monitoring leading to graduation. Most participants are enrolled in vocational/educational services during the aftercare component. This program also admits some clients on Methadone.
Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings take place in the facility every Tuesday and Thursday night.
Eligibility: Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, not in active withdrawal, have a diagnosis of drug dependence and be able to maintain themselves drug-free with the support of the program. Persons in need of detoxification services will be referred prior to admission. Program admission is through Central Intake.
