Centro Esperanza (Center of Hope)
Centro Esperanza is the “Elder” Senior citizen component to Mrs. A’s Day Program, which is a Medically Supervised Day Treatment Program. In a separate location, the elders of our community can come together to discuss their substance abuse problem. This component has all the same services as the Medically Supervised Day Treatment Program, but is modified to encompass the respect and dignity that our “Elders” deserve.
Eligibility: Candidates should be 50 years of age or older, not in active withdrawal, have a diagnosis of drug dependence and be able to maintain themselves drug-free with the support of the program. Persons in need of detoxification services will be referred prior to admission. Program admission is through UBP’s Central Intake.
